Fusion is own-both. Cross-owner siring is a post-cup economy.
Neither parent is burned. They keep fusing, subject to a per-Aura cooldown.
Fusing the same pair again yields a different descendant: the per-fusion seed varies, so siblings are not clones. Scarcity is economic (fee, cooldown, generation), not a one-per-pair cap.
Each fusion charges a fee and starts a cooldown on both parents, and raises the child's generation.
